Our Story

Pat and David met in 1985 while taking computer courses at Portland Community College. They became fast friends and over the years shared many adventures, most of which included some sort of mischief…

After 10 years of home brewing, David proposed the idea of opening a taproom to his wife, Jo, who loved the idea. They approached Pat about partnering with them and he was in!

Thus began months of market research (aka drinking beer in as many establishments as possible) and searching for the right place to make their taproom dreams a reality.

Hops on Tap started serving local craft beer, cider, wine and kombucha from their 33 taps on November 8, 2016 and has become a home away from home where friendly beer lovers gather for a pint and a bite to eat.

Cold beer.
Good times.
Great company.
